Chicago Breast Reconstruction Awareness Fundraiser
The health and safety of our physicians, patients and partners is our top priority. After careful deliberation, and considering the ongoing COVID-19 developments, the 2021 Chicago Breast Reconstruction Awareness (BRA) fundraising event will be held virtually on-demand.
Breast cancer does not stop or slow down and we know that even COVID-19 can't stop our mission. Let's continue to be committed together. Our community-based fundraising efforts empower women diagnosed with breast cancer in the Chicago area to make informed decisions about reconstruction. The proceeds remain in Illinois to support and fund research focusing on breast reconstruction and provide financial assistance to organizations supporting uninsured or under-insured women. Amid an ever-changing global landscape, these needs remain.
In the interim, we encourage members and supporters of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and The Plastic Surgery Foundation to raise their voices for these women during one of the most difficult moments in their lives. Please continue to show your support and help raise awareness about breast reconstruction options. Please make a donation if you can.
We look forward to the time when we can refocus on breast reconstruction awareness and strengthening our mission.
The Plastic Surgery Foundation (PSF) is currently planning its third community-based fundraising event for breast cancer reconstruction. All proceeds will remain in the Chicago-land area to support and fund research focusing on breast reconstruction and provide financial assistance to organizations supporting uninsured or under-insured women who choose to have their breast(s) reconstructed following a lumpectomy or mastectomy because of a breast cancer diagnosis.

National Breast Reconstruction Awareness Campaign
The Breast Reconstruction Awareness campaign is sponsored by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and The Plastic Surgery (The PSF), and financially supported through corporations, institutions, private practices and individuals.
Its intent is simple: Educate, engage and empower women to make the decision that is best for them following a diagnosis with breast cancer. That involves informing women, family members, caregivers and the media that the breast cancer loop remains open until a woman is informed of breast reconstruction options.
To donate, please contact Rochelle Jerry at (847) 228-7597.
Funds will be awarded to Chicagoland organizations through the Breast Reconstruction Awareness Campaign of The Plastic Surgery Foundation (PSF), the philanthropic arm of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
