Innovation in Wound Care Research & Academic Development Fellowship

Purpose

This grant is to promote and support the career development of junior surgeon-scientists who are focused on advancing wound healing patient care through research and are interested in building a competitive research lab. Eligible applicants must be plastic surgeons within the first five years of entering practice and interested in establishing an academic research career with a clinical focus in wound care. Competitive applications must describe a multi-year structured research plan that includes conduct of basic and/or clinical research with emphasis on biochemical and molecular biologic mechanisms of wound healing and/or clinical innovation.

Amount & Duration

Up to $150,000 per year for 24-month projects
