PSF and DePuy Synthes Craniomaxillofacial Research Grant
Purpose
The PSF and DePuy Synthes Craniomaxillofacial Grant is intended to fund a research project that will advance the scientific knowledge of craniomaxillofacial and head and neck reconstruction. Areas of investigation can include trauma, head and neck reconstruction, orthognathic surgery and congenital deformity correction. Examples of technologies of interest include, but are not limited to the use of biomaterials, 3-D printing and virtual technologies, tissue engineering and wound healing.
Priority will be given to applications that translate clinical or basic science research findings into clinically relevant advancements or tools with a high likelihood of impacting daily practice and patient care within the next few years. Applications will be evaluated based on the importance of the study question, soundness of study design, demonstration of study feasibility through preliminary/pilot data, the quality of the investigator team and use of appropriate statistical and analytic methods.
