ASPS RISE: Resident International Scholars Experience Expand Your Training. Build Global Connections. Advance Plastic Surgery Worldwide.

The ASPS RISE: Resident International Scholars Experience program, formerly known as GAAPS, provides plastic surgery residents with the opportunity to participate in short-term educational exchanges at residency programs in the United States, Canada and ASPS Global Partner institutions.

Through these 7-10-day experiences, residents gain exposure to different healthcare systems, surgical approaches, academic environments and cultural perspectives. The program promotes meaningful collaboration between institutions while supporting the next generation of leaders in academic plastic surgery.

  • Exchange research ideas, innovative techniques and best practices
  • Strengthen cultural competency and international professional networks
