Volunteers in Plastic Surgery

Volunteers in Plastic Surgery (VIPS) is a committee of The Plastic Surgery Foundation that serves as a resource for plastic surgeons who volunteer internationally. The committee is also a forum for plastic surgeons from around the world interested in global health to share best practices in research and training collaboration, improve the delivery of care and promote the highest standards of patient safety. This is the online home of VIPS, so please explore this website to find opportunities to improve patients' access to high-quality plastic and reconstructive surgery around the world. Have an idea to make this website more useful? Please contact Mike Stokes at mstokes@plasticsurgery.org.

International applicants are eligible to apply for several PSF grant programs (pilot research grant, NEPS Grant, PSF/MTF Allograft Tissue Research Grant and new Translational Grant).

SHARE

Surgeons in Humanitarian Alliance for Reconstructive, Research and Education (SHARE) is a new program from The PSF that seeks to enhance collaboration to improve care and surgical capacity in regions with limited numbers of plastic surgeons but high incidence of conditions requiring plastic surgery treatment.

The SHARE program is tailored to local learners and their environment through three core components: Global Learners, Global Educators and Global Researchers."
