Directed Research Grant – Breast Surgery
Purpose
The Directed Research Grant – Breast Surgery (Reconstruction or Aesthetic) aims to support plastic surgeons in pursuing research related to all aspects of breast surgery, including the critical area of breast implant safety. Proposals must address aesthetic or reconstructive breast surgery or breast implant safety research topics and must include targeted research questions. The research goals may range from pilot projects aimed at collecting preliminary data to support larger future grant proposals, up to more advanced research inquiries that may yield immediate benefits for patient care. The PSF is committed to encouraging innovative research concepts and novel ideas in this field, particularly in enhancing the safety and effectiveness of breast implants used in surgical procedures.
