The Breast Cancer Summit is a free forum connecting those who support breast cancer awareness, education, advanced medical practices, procedures, and technologies. The Breast Cancer Summit brings together industry, hospital, and clinical leaders to share how they are navigating through the ever-changing environment in healthcare and how they are pioneering the path to integrated approached in breast cancer. The purpose/goals of this event are as follows: - Create a forum to provide educational opportunities for those who have been touched by breast cancer, and to their families, friends, and healthcare providers. - Share patient education approaches regarding breast reconstruction. - Uncover the latest developments in breast cancer detection, treatment, and reconstruction. The Breast Cancer Summit offers an impressive platform where leading medical doctors and professionals in the Tri-State area discuss the most up-to-date information regarding breast cancer development, treatment, and healthy living. This year the proposed topics for discussion include breast cancer and genetic counseling, and other relevant topics. The summit brings together breast cancer survivors and Long Island advocacy groups, government officials, hospital administrators and executives, patients, and healthcare professionals who are involved throughout the cancer treatment process: radiologists, breast surgeons, nurse navigators, and oncologists. This year, we're thrilled to have Stacey Sager as our keynote speaker, Stacey is an Emmy award-winning reporter at WABC-TV, Eyewitness News, NYC, 3-time cancer survivor and has advocated for the importance of staying vigilant about breast and ovarian cancer. Invitations to attend will be extended to all Breast Cancer Awareness Groups on Long Island and to the professional community.
