PSF Translational and Innovation Research Grant

Purpose

The PSF Translational and Innovation Research Grant provides funding to support novel translational innovative research (e.g. devices, diagnostics, technology, etc.) that accelerates discovery through FDA approval into clinical testing. The research must lead to improvements in commercial development, and the objectives of the project should include an outcome that will benefit patients and address unmet clinical needs.

Projects should be milestone-driven and not discovery, hypothesis-based research. The grant is intended to support a viable commercial product, with plan for commercialization within three years. Projects with a clear path to market and go/no-go milestones will be favorably reviewed.

Testimonial

"The PSF Translational and Innovation Research Grant supports researchers to test translationally relevant ideas that could hopefully be translated to the clinic for patient use in the future. This provided me the resources to both test a novel drug therapy that improves healing after split thickness skin grafting and also identify the changes in cellular populations from this therapy."
